CLC Student Flash Movies

Two years ago, when I was teaching Flash to some Middle School students, I published their movies here. Enjoy. Or as one of my students wrote, "injoy".

It's a shame that the previous year's work is not included. There were some very talented flash designers!

Go Biodiesel

I like to practice what I preach. Now, thanks to Tony Brown, the director of Cornerstone Learning Community, I am now running clean, renewable biodiesel in my Volkswagon Jeta TDI (turbo diesel). You can run biodiesel in any diesel vehicle, without modifications, and get some great benefits. These are taken from Blue Sun Biodiesel:

  • Go Farther with a fuel that increases mileage, power, and engine life.
  • Go Stronger with a fuel that decreases our dependence on foreign oil.
  • Go Cleaner with a fuel that dramatically reduces emissions.
  • Go Smarter with a renewable fuel grown on American farms.

Julie and I always try our best to make our impact on this planet smaller, lessening the toxic burden we leave for future generations. To learn more, visit the National Biodiesel Board.

Setting up your Cornerstone email account

This article describes how to setup your Cornerstonelc.com email account in Mozilla Thunderbird.

First, start Thunderbird by clicking the icon on your desktop or in your start menu. The icon looks like this:

When Thunderbird starts for the first time, it may ask you if you want to import settings or email accounts from another program (such as Outlook or Outlook Express). If you choose to do so, Thunderbird will automatically bring your old emails in and put them in a new set of folders (seperate from your current Inbox). It will also import all of your old contacts (email addresses) into the new address book. It should also import your email account settings, and you should be ready to go. All you'll have to do is enter your password (see Todd or Kathy if you don't know your EMAIL password -- different from your network one).
