Progress on UTM weather station

Today the UTM permanent weather station reached its final height of over 10 meters (about 35 ft.). Here are some photos of the progress so far.

Below is the first photo I took today, after we had assembled the bottom two sections of the tower.  The third section of tower lies beside it and the lift we used to raise the sections (and us) is seen at the right.

Here’s a photo Mark Simpson took of me and Joe mounting the top boom arm. This arm will hold our 10m wind, temperature and relative humidity sensors.

And here is Mark helping with the heavy lifting.

Below is what the base of the tower looks like so far with two enclosures mounted (no solar panels yet and where are all of the wires?!).

And finally, here is how the tower looked when Mark and I left it this evening (when the Sun finally came out).
